A change in program for Team Sunshine* Do you want weak arms and tight shoulders? NO! Do you want strong, firm arms and tight shoulders? NO! Do you want strong, firm arms and mobile, injury-free shoulders? YES Sergeant Sunshine!! Yes ma’am!!
Well Sergeant Sunshine learnt something the team hadn’t yet revealed, by feeling your shoulders doing a simple martial arts arm movement. Grinding and crunching and tightly glued like a chook’s drumstick when you try to pull it off politely on Christmas Day.
Yoga Bootcamp: you WILL loosen your shoulders!
:you WILL improve your flexibility!
: you WILL mobilise your neck in doing so!
TOO much TAPAS in the shoulders. Be warned, be ready, shoulder release here we come!
Remember Yoga Squats, and the Knee Bandha we did today as well.
*Bronze medal name for the first of the Summer Bootcamps.

Day 2 of the boot camp provided a good strengthening work out, though I miss the relaxing pause at the end of these sessions. I think I am slowly getting the postures and positioning in place for the different poses.
I am however, still perplexed about moving from the downward dog, through the active cat and into the ‘crocodile’? smoothly… I seem to need to reposition my feet and hands numerous times through this transition.
On to day three!
Hello Forward
Not sure whether you are meaning going back or going forward through those poses–so will review at Tuesday session. The resetting of the hands and feet is disconcerting to the newcomer, but a beautiful sign of yoga, as it is the yogi acknowldeging their changing body. Each time you do the sequence, your body will be slightly different-so adjustments are necessary. To deny the change would be rigid. In week two, as we work a lilttle more technically with the Salute to the Sun, will give you some peramaters.
